There are minimal side effects and risks to taking Juvederm, but some tenderness, mild redness, discoloration bumps or swelling may appear around injection sites immediately after treatment. Women should not have this treatment whilst pregnant or breast-feeding, nor should individuals with a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine, also called lignocaine in the UK.
