Not every person suffering from high cholesterol is recommended to take this drug. Therefore, it is suggested that before taking Crestor, patients should inform the doctor about all the prescription, non-prescription, herbal or vitamin supplements taken by them. The following medicines may interact with Crestor:

- Spironolactone
- Antacids
- Gemfibrozil
- Protease inhibitors
- Blood thinner like warfarin
- Cimetidine
- Niacin
- Other statin medications like atorvastatin, pravastatin, etc.
- Cyclosporine
