Flovent
Flovent manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline is an inhaled corticosteroid that is prescribed for long term control of asthma symptoms in adults and children above the four years of age. Fluticasone Mechanism of Action
Fluticasone is used for controlling asthma symptoms like wheezing and shortness of breath that are caused due to asthma. In asthma patients the airways are narrowed thereby making it harder for the patients to breathe. Thus, asthma patients are prescribed with Flovent that works directly into the lungs to decrease the inflammation of the airways. It works by reducing airways swelling in the lungs thereby making breathing easier in the patients. The reduction in airways swelling and inflammations also lower the risk of asthma attacks in the patients.
